Last Pictures of Michael Jackson -2 days before he died

New pictures show Michael Jackson hard at work rehearsing just two days before he died. (Daily Mail, UK - 30th June 2009)

These are the last pictures of Michael Jackson on stage, taken just two days before he died.

The images of the singer hard at work rehearsing for his upcoming tour give a glimpse of what was in store for fans at his planned gigs in London's 02.

Jackson was due to begin the first of 50 dates at the arena on July 13, but died on Thursday after being rushed to hospital in Los Angeles.

In one of the newly-emerged images, taken on Tuesday at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, the singer points towards the audience as backing dancers perform in front of a huge This Is It banner.

Despite looking frail, the star strikes a familiar pose and appears to be in full flow during the rehearsal.

In another photo, he smiles broadly, microphone in hand, dressed in a long shimmering mac over a top and trousers.

More than 800,000 tickets costing up to £1,000 had been sold for the concerts at London's O2 arena which were hailed as the most 'expensive and technically advanced' live shows ever.

The concerts, which were due to start in two weeks' time, had been expected to be the highest grossing pop production of all time.

Hundreds of thousands of fans who bought tickets for the cancelled gigs have been told they will be entitled to a refund.

ON DVD, THE FINAL PERFORMANCE

Footage from Jackson’s final rehearsals is already being compiled for a DVD and album.

The star is believed to have been filmed running through his songs and dance routines the day before he died.

It is expected that when released this could become one of the star’s biggest selling works.

It is understood filming took place last Wednesday during Jackson’s rehearsals at the Los Angeles Staples Centre for the 50-date This Is It tour.

It remains unclear who has official ownership of the footage. A spokesman for concert promoter AEG
declined to comment. It is expected that the star’s estate will make more money in the next year from his music than he did in the last decade of his life.

The king of pop’s family will release a series of posthumous albums, starting this Christmas. It is understood Jackson wrote a number of songs for his three children, which were not to be released until after his death.

There are also songs left over from his last album, Invincible, released in 2001.

A tribute show is planned for September with Diana Ross, Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder and Barbra Streisand said to be in talks to appear.

BlackBerry Tour to rival iPhone 3G S

IPhone 3G's rival............

TORONTO: Research In Motion is adding another smartphone to its BlackBerry lineup as it aims to win marketshare among both executives and mainstream consumers despite tough economic conditions.

/photo.cms?msid=4661670 The new model is known as the BlackBerry Tour and falls somewhere between the BlackBerry Curve, which has proved very popular with consumers, and the BlackBerry Bold, which RIM has aimed at high-end corporate users.

RIM co-Chief Executive Jim Balsillie said in an interview that the new device will soon launch with Verizon and Sprint in the United States and Telus and BCE's Bell unit in Canada.

Even though the device isn't drastically different from many other BlackBerry handsets in appearance -- it has the familiar candy-bar shape with a full keyboard -- Balsillie said the Tour is a "big step forward".

It is what RIM calls a "world phone," which means it can easily access voice and data services on networks outside the user's home country. This has proven popular with business users in the past. To appeal to the retail market, the Tour is loaded with multimedia features similar to those found in the BlackBerry Curve and Pearl, including a photo and video camera and media player.

Unveiling products that cross customer categories is proving increasingly important to Waterloo, Ontario-based RIM and it is continuing to make deer inroads into the broader retail market.

However, the company is also being careful not to alienate the corporate users who have been its mainstay and who rely on its smartphones to send wireless email securely.

At the same time, rivals such as Apple and Palm in North America and Nokia in Europe are launching new products and aggressively pricing their phones to lure users.

Apple to unveil new iPhone

How will third-gen iPhone look like

The Web world is abuzz with rumours that Apple is all set to unveil a new Phone. All that the tech giant has hinted from its side is that the coming World Developers Conference on June 8th will be all about Mac OS X and iPhone.

Little doubt then that the rumour mill is working overtime on how the new iPhone will look like and the features it will have. So here's digging into the raging iPhone rumours to find out how the new iPhone may look like. On the looks front, the new iPhone is likely to sport same dimensions as that of the current model. Though a few cosmetic changes may show up. Some speculation suggests that the new device may do away with the metal border.

It is also being anticipated that the present smooth plastic back may be replaced by a treaded rubber-type back, similar to that of BlackBerry.

Rumors also suggest that the Apple logo may be light up just like the illuminated Apple logo on the back of the notebook line. The light will be white in colour and will remain on while the iPhone is powered on. Speculations are rife that the iPhone 3.0 will pack a 3.2 megapixel camera with the ability to focus the lens as a new feature. The device may also pack video recording capabilities, a sorely missed out feature in the iPhone 2.0. It may offer onboard video-editing capabilities too.

Last year when Apple launched iPhone 2.0 it was expected that the device will have a higher-resolution camera and a possible support for digital video recording. However, 3G iPhone disappointed with the same 2 megapixel camera and no video recording option. Flash and optical zoom too were missing.

However, Web is abuzz will rumours that Apple may take cue from other smartphone rivals who offer between 5 and 8 megapixel camera resolution.Another big change that the new iPhone is likely to introduce is in display. The third-generation iPhone is likely to have OLED (Organic light-emitting diode) screen display. The OLED display will replace the current LCD screen. The biggest advantage of an OLED screen is that it will boost the battery life of the device.

However, analysts also feel that Apple may have to rework the pricing point if it introduces OLED screen as OLED screens are quite expensive. The OLED screen may offer a 640 x 960 resolution.

Badal the scumbag of Punjab

The Scumbag of Punjab aka Badal:
Parkash Badal sitting on a chair in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji (GGSji) at Sri Akal Takht Complex
. Amritsar, India

I have a very good sikh friend of mine from our childhood days and often I have been to sikh gurudwara's on quite a few occasions with him and his family. I have learnt that in the presence of the GGSji, you have to cover you head and sit down on the floor during praying services. Yet, I came across this picture that shows this pathetic sumbag who thinks he is equal in position and stature to the GGSji. I have seen people who can barely walk or sit will sit down in the presence of GGSji and endure tremendous pain. Checkout the link below for more pictures and it is shocking. The sikh's should know what to do with such a haramzada kuta like him!! I'll let my sikh readers make their own opinion about this scumbag.

PS: The food served after services in the Gurudwara is awesome awesome....

British Leaders to be arrested

Breaking news

"Warrants issued for the arrest of British politicians following recent scandals. The Queen to dissolve parliament and the country to be run by Privy Council"

I am sure many British people would like to see such headlines in their daily newspapers to teach these scumbags who get elected as representative of people and misuse their priveliege by deceiving the hard working taxpayers. In these hard and uncertain times, these morons from the House of scumbags have taken advantage of the situation and lined their own pockets... The headline I have placed in quotes is just wishful thinking...but the british people will kick these thieves out at the next election and I hope they do.....
